McDuck returns, but just to produce the next LSD album?
My golly those lyrics. Pure majic. Your there standing at the train tracks. What a song.
Am in Mexico, went to a bar with an excellent singer playing familiar songs. He asked for requests and I said, do you know any John Prine? And he played this. I have pretty much every single album that John Prine has done, but I could not recall this song! He did a lovely rendition, but when I got home, I had to look John up to hear him. Found this. Because John’s always best. Amirite? 🙌🏽 Miss him. 😓
Watch Leon Russell play roll over Beethoven on shindig November 1964
Hehehe, he messes up the song at around 3:10 after the second chorus. David skips a section and you can see it in the way they are smiling at each other that it was a mistake xD it still worked though, RIP David, such a good song, nice recording to have :)

I already sang that in my head! Bright lights, Saturday night. A wearhouse of strangers in 40 watt lights! Lidia! She hid her thoughts just like a cat, behind her
A great live capture of DuPont! Years prior was also kick ass!

Wow great rendition by a youth of a legendary elder. Will ALWAYS love George Jones.
I am in NJ and a friend in NZ told me about these musicians -- small world!
Safest way to have a relationship - no-one to hurt you or for you to hurt. Love John Prine. ❤❤❤
Always sounds weird to me without a entire string section arrangement

YES.
THERE’S ANOTHER VERSE!! (Link at bottom). It’s like words from beyond. I like to believe maybe time is cyclical & a construct of man. Like when someone puts something out there into the circle of life, the moment you receive it, is that moment of connection, whether 20 years ago or in the future. His birthday is 10/10/22. He’d have been 76. The “John Prine Memorial Park at Rochester Dam” in Muhlenberg Co. was just unveiled 10/01/22. I added that news clip to my videos. The month of October from now through eternity has been deemed: John Prine month. I miss him so & wish he were here to witness all that’s happened in his wake. There’s a free streaming of the Wyman Audorium Tribute concert. You have to sign up but when you get to the $ part - it doesn’t ask for anything since the concert & l8r access is free. It’s on his bday as they are having a weeklong celebration of his life in Nashville. To get a ticket: mandolin.com/tickets. Yes, the live version is so great. I found several live versions which all have the extra verse. I picked the video said to be his 1st Austin City Limits performance as it just JAMS like nothing I’ve heard. I took a 7-9m video & grabbed just the last 3m which begins with that unbeknownst to me “lost” verse. Yet then it just ROCKS!! Also in the comments I read that the blonde chick (doing nothing) beside him on stage was his 1st wife. I don’t know if that’s true - but interesting still. “Southern stars blow lonesome still dark blue and high black clouds shifting orange as they go passing by like some cheap religious painting hanging in the sky you just touch my face and I wanna break right down and cry break down and cry if she should ever come down this way grab her by the throat and say won't you please explain my saddle in the rain.... farmer's nympho daughter moans let's do it til the cows come home.” Btw: those last two lines? That’s transcribed by someone at the Prine Shrine. I must have missed THAT part. That part is a trip. Well just to find a new verse is so fantastic but I’m not sure what to think about the farmer’s daughter. Lol Lastly, Fiona & family just signed up for a JP upcoming documentary. How cool is that?! Check out the clip to hear the last 3m/final verse: ua-cam.com/video/MfnYqU-xysw/v-deo.html
Thanks for posting!
I hate how this band isn’t bigger than pop or stupid ass mumble rap
RIP David Lamb
Freaking awesome
